Hello

Me with my fantastic invention for guitarists
(more on this below or see the video here)

Hi

I'm Kevin and my stage name is El Kevo (of course) I play solo guitar in restaurants, cafes and coffee houses.  I sometimes work with Ian Loud who accompanies me on his cajone - he is formerly the drummer with chart toppers Edison Lighthouse. (You can see him in my avatar picture)

I've been playing guitar for around thirty years now, though I expect you wouldn't tell from my playing. I have a diverse repertoire which seems to fit well in the venues I work in. I think it's more important to be out and about than playing at home, this holds regardless of ability.

I play an Amalio Burguette M3 which I picked up in Manson's of Exeter (they make MUSE's guitars.) I have fitted it with an LR Baggs Element pick-up which I push through a Roland Street amp. Though I love the Roland it is only 5w and could do with more headroom to avoid the feedback. I'm hoping to upgrade to an AC33 when funds allow.

I hope you take time to visit my You Tube channel on which I've posted some of my music.

I'm also excited about a guitar learning device which I've invented and just got into production. It's a way of learning how to sight read real music and I'm sure it will be of benefit to students and teachers alike. It can be found here:

I'll be spending most of my time visiting you but your comments here will be a welcome bonus to what has, so far, been a solitary musical career. I'll look forward to responding to you.

Thanks for dropping by.
